Money is a vehicle to experiences. If you want to learn more about what that means and how to apply it, then you’ve come to the right place.

Do you want to crush your debt, once and for all? Isn’t it about time your money makes you money? Are you ready to make strategic decisions and grown your net worth? If you said yes to one or all of these, then you’ve come to the right place. Here I’m going to detail my story from financial ignorance to intelligence. I’ll share with you my perspective on debt, investments, retirement and putting every dollar to work with a specific purpose.

My name is Lance and this is my journey.

I live in Dallas, TX, home to the $50,000 millionaire and I’m intent on not falling into the trap of “keeping up with the Joneses.” My financial journey started in 2015. I was 25, almost 3 years removed from college, making a decent salary, driving a BMW and wanted to do all the fun activities my friends were doing. I also felt unsatisfied, I wasn’t happy with how much money I was spending and I knew I needed to make a change. I was trying to keep up with the Joneses.

I credit most of my financial redirection to a good friend and mentor of mine who taught me that keeping up with the Joneses is stupid, because they’re broke. This person also introduced me to Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad, who has become a true idol to me.

My financial goals converge at the intersection of debt reduction at a reasonable pace and wealth creation at an accelerated pace. I believe it’s extremely important to maximize the long term potential of each and every dollar whether it’s purchasing income producing real estate assets, investing in your 401K, buying stocks or paying down debt.

I believe everyone needs a long term financial plan and that every dollar should have a purpose, which is how I came up with the name My Strategic Dollar.

Please join me on my financial adventure and feel free to reach out, I would love to hear from you!
